Biography:

Michael Certo has been an active artist and curator in New Mexico for the last 30 years. As an artist he has exhibited his mixed media paintings and sculptures in over 25 group and solo exhibitions in the United States and Japan. He is well known for his use of industrial materials (concrete, plaster, wax, and found objects) and experimental processes in painting. 

In addition, he founded the ARC Gallery in 1995 which evolved into the Albuquerque Contemporary Art Center [AC]2 in the year 2000, and has served as it's chief curator of exhibitions. [AC]2 is a regional leader in experimental, contemporary art and has exhibited over 500 artists in 150 exhibitions and counting...
